A persecution watchdog is warning about recent developments in Bangladesh that are reportedly already putting Christians and other minority religious adherents in serious danger. "About a month ago, after a few weeks of really bloody protests and bloody suppression of protests by the government, the government of Bangladesh was overthrown in essentially a military coup," Joel Veldkamp, head of international communications at Christian Solidarity International (CSI), told CBN News. He continued, "And what followed was about a week of rioting in which Hindus, and Christians, and Buddhists all across Bangladesh were attacked by mobs organized by Islamist groups." Chaos broke out in the South Asian nation last month after a student-led protest movement pushed Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina out of office; she fled to India as furor exploded, with 600 people dying amid the consternation. Nobel Peace Prize laureate Muhammad Yunus was sworn in to help lead an interim government and bring back order. So far, instability persists, according to Voice of America. Considering the newfound chaos — and the fact Bangladesh is a majority-Muslim country — these developments have been seen as incredibly troubling. Despite its overwhelmingly Islamic populace, Bangladesh has what Veldkamp called a "long history of secularism and tolerance," with its government also existing in secular form before its fall. The shifting and chaotic dynamics now have experts like Veldkamp worrying about what could come next. "Now that government has been overthrown ... we're extremely concerned that the floodgates are kind of now open for much wider Islamist and jihadist violence against Christians, against Buddhists, against Hindus, against all the non-Muslims in the country," he said. As tensions over abortion reach a fever pitch in the post-Roe v. Wade era, concerns are mounting over allegations the Biden administration is weaponizing the Department of Justice against pro-life activists. Since the U.S. Supreme Court turned abortion back to the states in 2022, Americans are increasingly hearing more about a federal law that protects clinics. "The FACE Act stands for Freedom of Access to Clinics to Clinic Entrances Act," Eireann Van Natta, a reporter with The Daily Caller," recently told CBN News. "It was instituted in 1994, under the Clinton administration. And, if you go to the DOJ's website, its stated purpose is to protect access to reproductive health, which is a euphemism for abortion." The law protects churches and clinics — including pro-life pregnancy centers — although critics clearly see its enforcement as one-sided. "What pro-lifers and conservatives have long claimed is that, actually, this act is really just a cudgel that's being used to target pro-life activists," Van Natta said. Tim Tebow has distinguished himself on the field — and off, with his devout Christian faith inspiring his life and work. His latest endeavor through the Tim Tebow Foundation is the UnKNOWN and UnFINISHED campaign, an effort to rescue children from the horrific bowels of human trafficking. "We believe it's one of the worst evils in the world," Tebow recently told CBN News. "When you look at the world of trafficking and child exploitation, there's so many people [whose] lives are at stake, and lives are on the line every single day." The newfound effort builds upon last year's effort known as the Unknown campaign, an endeavor named for the 50,000 boys and girls whose abuse has been seen by law enforcement via videos and images but who have not yet been identified. Tebow said his goal is to help "through technology, through legislation, through law enforcement, through operations" to identify and rescue these children. Rather than move on to a new campaign this year, he and his foundation were compelled to continue working to find these children. "We call it Unknown and Unfinished, because we've got to get to as many of these boys and girls as possible," Tebow said. "And when we look at the scale, just so people can understand it ... within the last 12 months, there's been over 500,000 unique IP addresses that have downloaded or shared images or videos of children under the age of 12 being abused." He continued, "And we know that 55% to 85% of those sharers and downloaders are also hands-on offenders, and your average offender has 13 victims." The horrific events impacting children do not get enough attention, Tebow believes. "It's one of the worst evils in the world," he said. "And it's also one of the fastest-growing evils in the world." Tebow said he can't imagine ignoring victims' plights, especially considering reports the average girl is abused multiple times each day. "How could I live on my timeline knowing that she has to handle that one more day?" he said. "As an image bearer of our Creator, as someone that Jesus died for, for me to sit here and to be comfortable while she is so uncomfortable, it should make me agonized; it should put a burden on me." Tebow believes Christians are called to care for the hurting and broken-hearted, calling the ability to do so a true "blessing." Watch him explain.

JERUSALEM, Israel – The White House says a deal for a ceasefire and the release of some of the hostages is about 90 percent done. The sticking point remains the Philadelphi Corridor, the strategic piece of land along the Egypt-Gaza border. The White House claims an agreement is close, although it admits the Hamas terror tactic of threatening to kill more hostages after having just killed six last week is pressuring negotiators to seal a ceasefire deal. National Security Council Spokesman John Kirby revealed the murders "absolutely created a sense of even greater urgency to get the deal." He added, "It also underscores how difficult it is to negotiate with a guy like Mr. Sinwar (the leader of Hamas)." Evangelical voters get a lot of attention around presidential elections due to their size and impact. In 2016, they unified behind Donald Trump, helping him win The White House. This time, however, division on abortion has the possibility of getting in the way. "The temperature is not as high as it was in 2016 and 2020 when it comes to who they're supporting," says Tony Perkins with The Family Research Council. The main reason comes down to abortion. In the past, Trump courted evangelicals, promising staunchly pro-life policies and he delivered. Since the Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v Wade, the abortion issue has led to political defeats for Republicans. That's led to Trump's refusal to endorse a federal abortion ban and his willingness to support abortion pill access through the mail. Although he remained silent leaving the courthouse, inside Biden entered a guilty plea to nine criminal charges on $1.4 million in taxes he owed – and later paid.
