Prime Minister Hon. Gaston Browne says the government is to explore getting expert mathematics teachers from India to improve students’ performance in the subject. The head of government says talks will also be held about tapping the Asian giant for specialist construction workers, as Antigua and Barbuda continues to experience a boom in the sector. Prime Minister Browne was meeting on Monday with India's State Minister for External Affairs, who has responsibility for Latin America and the Caribbean. Garfield Burford reports.
The National School Meals Programme hosted a training session on mental health for its supervisors today, as part of an initiative to help them cope with stress while they strive to increase productivity. The group attended an in-house therapy session to improve their coping mechanisms, as well as equip them to encourage staff to improve performance. Kim Emmanuel Baird reports.
