Prime Minister Hon. Gaston Browne says Antigua and Barbuda and other Caricom states are committing full support for the relief effort in St Vincent and the Grenadines and Grenada following the impact of Hurricane Beryl. The Head of Government says the twin-island state has committed relief supplies and cash support for its stricken sub-regional neighbours. Prime Minister Browne also tells ABS News both affected islands should seek to have an international pledging conference to seek financial support for rebuilding. He says this would be similar to what Antigua and Barbuda spearheaded following Hurricane Irma’s devastation of Barbuda in 2017.

Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force officers and members of the Royal Police Force departed the island on Tuesday to assist in providing crucial assistance to hurricane-ravaged Grenada and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
