Three outstanding citizens are to be awarded as part of celebrations of Antigua and Barbuda's 43rd anniversary of independence in Canada. Mitzi Allen, Joy Lapps and Rodman George are to receive accolades during a Gala at the Viceroy Banquet Hall in Toronto on November 9. It will be hosted by the Antigua and Barbuda Association of Toronto with support from the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority. The chair of the Antigua and Barbuda Association of Toronto, Selma Alincy, says the gala embodies the independence theme, 'from community collaboration to global gains.’ Soca diva Claudette "CP" Peters backed by the Disturbance Band, will headline entertainment at the event.
The Adele School has donated close to XCD$4.000.00 to the fight against breast cancer, in an exemplary show of altruism and advocacy. Teachers and students raised the money throughout the month of October, observed as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Briana Anthony reports.

EVIN LEWIS REACTS AFTER MATCH-WINNING INNINGS FOR WEST INDIES West Indies will be looking to clinch their One-Day International series against England, when the teams clash in the second match at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium on Saturday.
