St Lucia's Prime Minister, Phillip J. Pierre says discussions will be held with the Government of Antigua and Barbuda about the possibility of his country providing financial support for LIAT 2020. Prime Minister Pierre was speaking in an exclusive interview with ABS’ Garfield Burford in St Lucia on Wednesday night.
Prime Minister Hon. Gaston Browne has restated his call for an end to punitive measures by the United States against three countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. The head of Government was speaking during the 23rd Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the People of our America - People's Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) in the Venezuelan capital Caracas on Wednesday. Progress is being made to finalize the 17-member Antigua and Barbuda Falcons squad for the 2024 Caribbean Premier League. Chief Executive Officer Jeff Miller made the disclosure during ABS’ Sports 360 on Thursday. He disclosed West Indies players Brandon King and Fabian Allen have already been retained and the draft will be in July. Miller also explained that the Falcons, under the ownership of World Wide Sports, will have a year round presence and will help the development of cricket in the twin-island state.
