A historic resolution drafted and negotiated a resolution by Antigua and Barbuda to tackle poverty across the Americas, has been adopted by acclamation by all member states of the Organisation of American States. It was introduced by Antigua and Barbuda's Permanent Representative to the OAS, and Ambassador to the United States, Sir Ronald Sanders. He made the presentation during a joint meeting of the OAS Permanent Council and the Inter-American Council for Development in Washington D.C. Myrtle Bruno Hodge reports.

Antigua and Barbuda is hosting the 16th annual National Convention of Professional Travel Agents of North America (PTANA). Scores of travel agents have arrived in Antigua and Barbuda for the weeklong event at Sandals Grande Antigua Resort. Chief Executive Officer of the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority, Colin James says this is a major boost for the twin-island state’s tourism product.
