A historic resolution drafted and negotiated a resolution by Antigua and Barbuda to tackle poverty across the Americas, has been adopted by acclamation by all member states of the Organisation of American States. It was introduced by Antigua and Barbuda's Permanent Representative to the OAS, and Ambassador to the United States, Sir Ronald Sanders. The housing renewal project is being bankrolled by grant funding from The People’s Republic of China. Antigua and Barbuda is hosting the 16th annual National Convention of Professional Travel Agents of North America (PTANA). Scores of travel agents have arrived in Antigua and Barbuda for the weeklong event at Sandals Grande Antigua Resort.
