The United Nations High-Level Panel co-chaired by Prime Minister Hon. Gaston Browne has presented its final report on a Multi-dimensional Vulnerability Index (MVI). It is a landmark development for Antigua and Barbuda and other vulnerable developing states across the world. It outlines a more comprehensive way of assessing a country's well-being and development paradigm, outside of the usual metric of Gross National Income (GNI) per capita. Prime Minister Browne co-chaired the high-level UN panel along with Norway's former Prime Minister, Erna Solberg. The head of Government addressed a United Nations virtual meeting on Thursday on the significance of this final report.
