Ex-Combined Islands fast bowler Hugh Gore is calling for pacer Jeremiah Louis to be included in the senior West Indies side. Gore notes that his pace has increased and his performances have been consistent. The former Leewards manager recounts that Louis captured 44 wickets a few seasons ago yet was overlooked for the A team's tour to England. Washington Bramble, currently facing charges under the law, has launched an application to contest its constitutionality. The crux of the argument is a possible infringement on the fundamental right to freedom of expression. In a court session, Bramble, who self-represented, sought additional time to review the crown's recent response with legal counsel. The controversy centers around amendments made to the Act in 2018, including the removal of the word "persistently" ; changes Bramble argues has rendered the law excessively broad and vague. On May 10, Justice Ann-Marie Smith presides over further arguments in this matter.
