The National Cultural Foundation says Trinity Clarke's placement in the Scotiabank Junior Monarch competition has nothing to do with being penalised for an alleged incident at the venue. Chief Executive Officer, Carol Roberts says comments appearing in the media following an alleged incident involving competitor Trinity Clarke are unfortunate. Kareen Clarke states her daughter was allegedly attacked. She adds that Trinity has retained the services of Senior Counsel Michael Lashley to deal with the matter. The mother was also heard on Starcom Network's Fireworks Radio Show relaying the incident. Ms. Roberts' comments come on the heels of a post by Kareen Clarke, on social media following the Thursday night competition. Ms. Roberts says as soon as she was informed of the incident at the Garfield Sobers Gymnasium, she requested a report from the music officer in charge, and other involved parties, which was received before 10 a.m. She says she had intended to deal with the matter away from the public's eye, but given the circumstances, it has received a lot of public attention. Ms. Roberts adds the incident at the Junior Monarch will not affect Trinity's participation in the upcoming Courtesy Garage Pic-O-De-Crop competition.
