Corporate Barbados has been making donations to the Nightingale Children's Home this yuletide season. Child Care Officer Sherrieann Weir is extending gratitude to those businesses and kind-hearted Barbadians who played a part in bringing Christmas cheer to the children at the Home. Ms. Weir was speaking during a presentation of gifts, drinks and other goodies from SMJ Beverages Barbados Inc. General Manager Mia Clarke says the company and employees contributed to the donation which had been a year in planning. She says this is the first presentation SMJ is making to the home but it will not be the last. Pénurie de carburant à Rodrigues : Les autorités sont appelées à intervenir rapidement pour rétablir la situation. Coping with the deaths of loved ones while maintaining focus on academics is no small feat. But for Vinesh Ramnarine, it was a reality he faced and conquered. Vinesh, the son of local performer Raymond Ramnarine, placed seventh regionally in Applied Mathematics and earned an Open Scholarship. Radhica De Silva visited the Ramnarine family, and shares their story in this report.

Maracas Beach is known for its beautiful waters, but just a short distance away, in a nearby river, something rare and surprising is making a splash. While sharks aren’t typically found in these waters, there’s a much more elusive resident that’s been quietly drawing attention—it's an otter.
