El cardenal italiano Angelo Becciu ha sido condenado a cinco años y seis meses de cárcel por un caso de irregularidades financieras en el marco de la compra fraudulenta de un edificio en el centro de Londres. El presidente del Tribunal Vaticano, Giuseppe Pignatone, ha leído este sábado la sentencia por la que también se condena a Becciu, de 75 años, a la inhabilitación perpetua para ejercer cargos en la Santa Sede y a una multa de 8.000 euros.
