L’animale ha una caratteristica macchia bianca sulla parte superiore della testa. Tuttavia l’esemplare registrato presso la base Gabriel Gonzalez Videla è in gran parte bianco a causa del leucismo : una condizione genetica causata da una perdita parziale della pigmentazione del pelo. Si differenzia dagli animali albini solo perché il pinguino mantiene il colore normale degli occhi. A rebel group in western Myanmar has said it has captured a strategic town near the Indian border from the ruling military. The town of Paletwa in Chin state is one of Myanmar's main routes to India. The Arakan Army is part of the ethnic minority rebel coalition, the Three Brotherhood Alliance, that launched coordinated attacks against Myanmar's military government last October. Ukraine's military has said it has shot down a Russian military spy plane over the Sea of Azov, in what analysts say would be a blow to Moscow's air power. Army chief Gen Valerii Zaluzhnyi said the air force had "destroyed" an A-50 long range radar detection aircraft, and an IL-22 air control centre. The A-50 detects air defences and coordinates targets for Russian jets.
