Organizers of Abigail's Pride Festival said they are now working on a backup plan for their third annual event.

The Great Lakes have seen record-low and record-high water levels in the past seven years. Compared to the record high levels in 2019 and 2020, water levels are down between two and three feet. While that might sound like a lot, water levels are now near average. The Great Lakes water levels are kept under close watch in the U.S. and Canada.

A woman in her 60s remains hospitalized Monday after she was robbed then stabbed multiple times in broad daylight in Chinatown, according to witnesses. It happened just after 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Witnesses say a man reportedly targeted the woman then robbed and later stabbed her. "The victim [fell down] on the ground ... she tried to hold on to her bag," said Chinese Chamber of Commerce Los Angeles Chairman Chester Chong. One day after a 17-year-old died from a self-inflicted gunshot in the lobby of the Industry Sheriff Station during an alleged altercation with a deputy, questions still remain as her heartbroken family comes to grips with the sudden loss of their loved one.
