Toronto police say they’re investigating “several incidents” that happened in front of downtown's Mount Sinai Hospital, after a demonstration there that has drawn sharp criticism from both the premier and the prime minister. Demonstrators marched in Toronto Monday evening and at one point demonstrators were seen outside Mount Sinai Hospital. Some were even seen climbing onto the building, with at least one waving a Palestinian flag. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau reacted to the demonstration in a post on social media platform X, calling it “reprehensible.” “Hospitals are places for treatment and care, not protests and intimidation,” Trudeau said. “I strongly condemn this display of antisemitism. In Toronto and across Canada, we stand with Jewish communities against this hate.” For more info, please go to https://globalnews.ca/news/10292210/toronto-mount-sinai-hospital-demonstration/ Subscribe to Global News Channel HERE: http://bit.ly/20fcXDc Like Global News on Facebook HERE: http://bit.ly/255GMJQ Follow Global News on Twitter HERE: http://bit.ly/1Toz8mt Follow Global News on Instagram HERE: https://bit.ly/2QZaZIB #GlobalNews #MountSinai #Toronto

"We’re here to tell the federal government that if provinces are not going to protect public health care, Ottawa must," said Unifor National President Lana Payne. "Public funding in health care— including dental and Pharmacare— is essential and desperately needed across Canada.” The event, organized by the Canadian Health Coalition and supported by various labour unions, health-care professionals and community organizations, called attention to the pressing need for increased funding and support for public health-care services across the country. NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh, who was also in attendance, asked: “Who do you think benefits, and who do you think suffers if we don’t move ahead with Pharmacare?” For more info, please go to https://globalnews.ca/news/10246816/health-care-canada-leger-poll/ Subscribe to Global News Channel HERE: http://bit.ly/20fcXDc Like Global News on Facebook HERE: http://bit.ly/255GMJQ Follow Global News on Twitter HERE: http://bit.ly/1Toz8mt Follow Global News on Instagram HERE: https://bit.ly/2QZaZIB #GlobalNews #Canada #Health
