At least 11 people died and dozens others were left injured following an explosion at a firecracker factory in Harda, India on Tuesday. Local firefighters, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) teams and other emergency response teams rushed to the scene to clear out burned debris and extricate victims feared to be trapped inside. At least 174 people were rescued and rushed to hospitals, with roughly 50 ambulances sent to the scene, according to the Madhya Pradesh state chief, Mohan Yadav. Bulgarian and Spanish farmers protested on Tuesday against what they say is their governments' insufficient compensation and the crisis in the agricultural sector. Bulgarian farmers blocked roads across the country, while Spanish farmers set up makeshift barricades on several major highways, joining colleagues in other European countries protesting high costs, bureaucracy and competition from non-EU nations.
