Below-freezing temperatures in B.C.’s Lower Mainland can pose a risk to car batteries and plumbing – and the weather is prompting calls for people to be prepared on the road and at home.

Following a chaotic evening commute after snowfall and freezing temperatures, those affected in the Lower Mainland are questioning the city’s preparedness for winter weather conditions.

On Friday, IHIT provided an update on a seven-year investigation and trial related to on-going gang conflict in B.C.. Hitman Tyrel Nguyen received life in prison on Thursday.
