An Indigenous man from Ontario was shot and killed in Florida this weekend following a Miami Dolphins football game, police say. City of Toronto staff are recommending a nine per cent hike to the residential property tax and an additional 1.5 per cent increase to the building tax. Budget chief Coun. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in Ramallah on Wednesday and met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. Palestinians in Ramallah, West Bank took to the streets to protest the visit, citing that the U.S. allies itself with the "criminal Zionist occupation." Palestinians in downtown Ramallah demonstrated against the visit and chanted against America and Blinken, but they were pushed back from reaching Abbas' office where the meeting took place.
