B.C. residents will soon become the first in Canada to have access to an at-home, self-screening test for cervical cancer. About 200 people are diagnosed with cervical cancer a year in the province, Premier David Eby said Tuesday morning. A winter storm is hammering Vancouver Island Tuesday afternoon, bringing very strong winds, large waves, high tides and some coastal flooding. The City of Victoria is warning residents that “extreme weather warnings” are in place with wind gusts of up to 90 km/h expected.
