White House National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby said Thursday that U.S. intelligence has determined that North Korea has supplied Russia with ballistic missile launchers and “several” ballistic missiles, which it has used in Ukraine. Characterizing this as a "significant and concerning escalation" in North Korea's support for Russia, Kirby added that Russia had launched several of these missiles Tuesday as part of an overnight attack on several Ukrainian cities. Israeli shelling killed 16 Palestinians in Khan Younis on Thursday — in a southern coastal area of the Gaza Strip packed with people who had fled attacks in other parts of the enclave — Gaza's Hamas-run health ministry officials said. The dead included nine children, an official told Reuters. Israeli shells had landed near tents erected in the area by displaced people, they added.
