On Thursday, a Dutch court reduced the sentence for Aydin Coban, who extorted and bullied British Columbia teenager Amanda Todd to the point of suicide in October 2012. He had his 13-year sentence from a Canadian court converted to a 6-year prison term, which is the maximum allowed under Dutch law. Canadian Immigration Minister Marc Miller will be providing an update on Thursday on measures for those fleeing the conflict zone in Gaza. A Vancouver Island family is devastated after making a trip to the Lower Mainland this week for surgery, only to have it cancelled two hours before it was scheduled to begin. Ethan Baldwin will turn 20 in only a few weeks. For the past seven years, he’s been waiting for surgery to help straighten his spine.
