Two men appeared in court on Tuesday for the murder of alleged underworld boss Mark Lifman. They were arrested on Sunday. The Luztville Magistrate's Court has denied a second bail application brought by farmer Christoffel Stoman. He's accused of running over 6-year-old Khwezi Jantjies, and breaking both his legs. Magistrate Rapula Khetsi says he wasn't satisfied with the 'new' information brought before the court. Stoman claims that he only has six months left to live due to a cancer diagnosis. But Khetsi says the defence failed to show how his health will be impacted if he remains in custody. A female police officer has laid a counter charge after an altercation in Tsakane. She was caught on camera slapping a man inside the station. He was believed to have been asking why a female complainant was not being helped. The officer claims both the man and woman were drunk.
