Inflation has dropped to 5-point-3-percent in March from 5-point-6-percent in February. This is welcome news, as consumers continue to feel the pinch from high fuel and food prices. The National Prosecuting Authority has opened its 64th victim support centre in Stellenbosch in the Western Cape. The facility will serve communities in 37 suburbs and towns and 12 informal settlements. Earlier this month Zimbabwe introduced the new currency that is short for Zimbabwe Gold. It’s an effort to stabilize the volatile exchange rate. .. In 2008 the official rate of inflation reached 500 billion percent. To get things back under control, Zimbabwe adopted the US dollar for more than a decade before switching back to Zimbabwean dollars in 2019.
