The uMkhonto WeSizwe party's appeal against the Independent Electoral Commission has been successful. That's after the IEC upheld an objection to remove former President Jacob Zuma from the party candidate lists. The IEC argued that Zuma's jail sentence bars him from entering the race.But Zuma's lawyers contended that the commission had also failed to take into consideration Zuma’s remission of sentence. More frustration in the Enyobeni Tavern Inquest after owners Siyakhangela and Vuyokazi Ndevu failed to appear in court. They are the couple who were found guilty of selling alcohol to a minor in February and were sentenced to a R5000 fine or one hundred days in prison.
