The Water -and Sanitation Department has hammered home the importance of modern economies investing in water infrastructure. Contractors today handed over the two-billion rand, upgraded Zandvliet Wastewater Treatment Works to the City of Cape Town. To make the city safer, the City of Cape Town has invested in state-of-the-art technology to help fight crime. This includes Drone technology, body cams, dash cams, CCTV and Licence Plate Recognition devices. The lawyer for accused 1 in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial has come under fire for being a no-show in court. This after Thulani Mngomezulu had asked for an adjournment on Tuesday to go over evidence of two witnesses who were due on the stand. The ANC in KwaZulu-Natal plans to visit AmaZulu King, MisuZulu kaZwelithini on Friday. This in an effort to apologise on behalf of the party, following the infamous mic-snatching incident between ANC KZN Chairperson, Sboniso Duma and AmaZulu prime minister, Thulasizwe Buthelezi. The Ndimande brothers' legal team doesn't believe there is a strong case against them. Former President, Jacob Zuma, has once again failed to remove Prosecutor Billy Downer, from his arms deal corruption case. Zuma accusses Downer of prosecutorial bias. Judge Nkosinathi Chili made the ruling in the KwaZulu-Natal High Court in Pietermaritzburg. The case has been adjourned to 17 May for a pre-trial conference. #dstv403 #enca
