According to a recent Interpol report, South Africa is at the top of Africa in terms of cyber threats and ranks third worldwide. The Southern African Fraud Prevention Services says there’s been a rise in fraudulent activities with criminals targeting banking apps to loot victims’ bank accounts. Africa’s biggest retailer, the Shoprite group, has reported a 7.6 percent growth in its half-year profit. The controversial e-tolls in Gauteng will be a thing of the past come month end, that's the assurance from Finance MEC Jacob Mamabolo. This comes after Premier Panyaza Lesufi promised in his recent State of the Province address to switch off the gantries. Election season is officially in full swing. And the ANC is racing against time to finalise its list of candidates for Parliament ahead of the IEC’s Friday cut-off date. Gun violence and shootings continue to spiral out of control around the country. Over the weekend, at least seven people were killed in separate shootings in Riverlea, Westbury, and Eldorado Park.
