Taxi council, SANTACO is blaming taxi violence on the demarcation process. They spoke to eNCA's Bafedile Moerane earlier. It says government does not consult with them and this causes confusion over routes. The council says this is one of the reasons violence flares up. One of the two women who lost their lives after being doused with petrol and set alight has been laid to rest. 31-year-old Marishka Davids along with 38-year-old, Zakkiyah Rayman, both died from their injuries. Davids and Rayman were allegedly set alight by Davids' partner. Transnet's National Ports Authority says it's prepared to swim and not sink. It's aiming to revive economic growth across the eight commercial ports in the country. It comes after a stern warning by Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana. In his budget speech, he said the beleagured state-owned entity will no longer receive government bailouts. South Africa is bucking the trend when it comes to global birth rates. That's according to research firm Eighty20. The current fertility rate is 2.1 births, but South African women, on average, give birth to 2.3 children. However, that trend is now shifting for a variety of reasons. Better healthcare and contraceptives, delayed marriages and the cost of raising children are some factors.
