Most sex workers, drug users, and the LGBTQ+ community are discriminated against at public health facilities. A survey found 75 percent of them face discrimination from staff. Two more SANDF soldiers have died in the DRC. The army says one member shot and killed another. He then turned the weapon on himself and committed suicide. A board of inquiry has been convened to investigate the incident. The troops were part of the UN peacekeeping mission which is in the process of withdrawing. The current wage agreement between the South African Municipal Workers Union and employers will end on 30 June. The union convened a special central executive committee meeting which also looked at the upcoming wage negotiations. The committee decided to ask employers for a 15-percent increment or R4000.
