The Border Management Authority has deported over 27,000 people who attempted to enter South Africa illegally during the festive season. Those on the Interpol red list are among people denied entry. Today was Latoya Temilton's funeral.She was laid to rest in her hometown of Moremela in Mpumalanga. The seventh-grader died in a resort pool last weekend, while at a leadership camp organised by Laerskool Queenswood. Gauteng Education MEC Matome Chiloane will appoint a private legal company to investigate the incident. Firefighters in the Cape Winelands remain hopeful of containing the fires burning out of control, at least by tomorrow evening. Vast areas of vegetation have been badly affected, while in other parts there’s been structural damage. The fire started at an informal settlement on Monday. Cape Winelands mayor Elna von Schlicht has been full of praise for fire services. #dstv403 #dstv403
