There's a high number of vigilantism, business robberies and hijackings reported in the area. They were joined by National Police Commissioner of Angola, Arnaldo Manuel Carlos, to monitor weekend operations. Table Mountain National Park has been monitoring veld fires within the Park to identify hotspot locations and overall trends. This year alone, it says it has recorded 22 fires from January 1 to 18th. Authorities believe the majority of these fires are caused by "deliberate malicious intent". Table Mountain National Park Manager, Megan Taplin spoke with eNCA. Mpumalanga ANC Treasurer, Mandla Msibi, has been referred to the provincial disciplinary committee.
