The Minister of Justice in South Africa, Ronald Lamola says he has confidence in his legal team that stood presented the country's claims infront of the International Court of Justice. South Africa has requested for an interim order for Israel to stop it’s military operations. Overall it says that Israel has genocidal intent and is targeting Palestinians broadly rather than just the militant group Hamas. The National Union of Mineworkers has called on dismissed Impala Bafokeng Platinum Mine workers to return to work. The union says it was successful in negotiating with the mine after it had acted against some of the miners who had instigated an underground sit-in. NUM says Impala Bafokeng Mine management has agreed to withdraw the suspension of 38 miners who had been dismissed for their involvement in the three-day underground protest action in December.
