The 21-year-old student accused of raping and killing Kirsten Kluyts maintains he merely stumbled upon her body. Kluyts was out for a run at the end of October when her naked body was found down an embankment in the George Lea Park in Sandton. The accused during his bail application does admit to wearing her clothes after he left the scene. Workers at Impala Platinum have embarked on what the company describes as an illegal strike on Monday. Implats says it is closely monitoring the underground protest, which began this morning, at both the North and South shafts at Bafokeng Rasimone Mine. Management has since suspended mining operations at the two shafts and recalled all employees from the underground working areas. As of 3pm Monday afternoon there were over 2,205 employees still underground. The miners are yet to share their demands with mine management. Doctors opposed to the NHI Bill say they will consider leaving the country if it's implemented. The National Council of Provinces approved the bill and now it’s up to the President to sign it into law. The Bill, according to government, aims to provide quality healthcare for all South Africans.
