Chidimma Adetshina has withdrawn from the Miss South Africa pageant. This comes after the Patriotic Alliance instituted urgent legal action against Adetshina and Miss South Africa in order to prevent her from participating. Home Affairs found evidence that Adetshina's mother, who has Mozambican roots, MAY have committed fraud and 'identity theft' in obtaining South African citizenship. Five people accused of AKA and Tibz murders are back in court today.
The Communications Ministry wants to phase out 2G and 3G networks by December 2027. That's to make space for newer 4G and 5G technologies. But, the Association of Communications and Technology is asking why government is imposing deadlines. It says the industry will know the best time to switch off.
