Zimbabwe’s government is threatening to ban over 200 non-governmental organisations for administrative failures. The government claims these NGOs have failed to provide their financial and annual reports under the existing Private Voluntary Organisations Act. A once wildlife-friendly piece of land has over time been turned into an informal settlement. These are the concerns of Dorchester Heights residents in East London. They’re calling on authorities to remove the more than 100 informal structures near their homes.
