It’s a little over a hundred days since Gauteng Provincial Police Commissioner, Tommy Mthombeni, took office. He says despite a rise in violent crime, police are winning the war. At least 51 officers have been arrested in the province since March. They face charges ranging from corruption to rape and murder. The family of a 25 year old Malmesbury factory worker say they're devastated over his death. Survivors of a tornado in Othongathi, KwaZulu-Natal are asking for more psychological help in order to deal with the trauma of what they witnessed. About twelve people are confirmed to died during the disaster. Houses, schools, clinics and infrastructure have also been severely damaged.
