In a major development for Uganda’s transportation sector, new standards have been introduced to improve the quality of engine lubricants on the market, reducing the risk of counterfeit products. The Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) has set a new US 249 standard with support from total energies uganda, which aims to ensure engine lubricants meet higher benchmarks for performance, efficiency, and environmental safety.
The women in Bunyoro region have urged to embrace the generating Growth opportunities and productivity fo women enterprises GROW projects and Plan wisely. The GROW is government project of Uganda that was created inorder to respond to the women needs who want to grow their business. Women in Bunyoro region have been warned against being used by their husbands or boyfriends to borrow money on their behalf under GROW project In the message that was led by state minister for youth Balaam Barugara who represented Betty Among minister of Gender ,Balaam warned the beneficiaries not to misuse this money that government has provided for them.

Kisoro District is holding a by-election to fill the Woman Member of Parliament seat, left vacant following the death of former MP and State Minister for Defence and Veteran Affairs, Sarah Mateke Nyirabashitsi, in early September. The Government of Uganda, through the National Curriculum Development Centre, has launched training for Kiswahili teachers in the Western Region to begin the teaching of Kiswahili language in primary schools.
The International Organization for Migration has made a substantial donation of essential health supplies, IT equipment, and furniture to the Ministry of Health to further its efforts in responding to the ongoing Mpox situation, with a special focus on Ports of Entry. At the official handover ceremony, IOM's Chief of Mission, Mr. Sanus Tejan Savage, stressed the importance of fortifying entry points, especially to support migrants and vulnerable travelers.
The ministry of health is concerned about the overwhelming rate of diabetes cases with 80% not aware of their status.
