Kenya has won the first leg over Uganda in the expanded I&M bank katogo golf series. These series dubbed ‘Migingo skirmishes’ was hosted at Limuru country club in Kenya.

The total saving stands at 15 billion saving in the past years and this time round members were told that 11 percent interest was given. The savings for the members are given to government in form of fixed deposits.

Golf - The fourth edition of the Namulonge golf open championship hosted close to 120 golfers competing for cash and trophies. From across the country, golfers had the weekend on the course. Abdullah Kakooza clinched the Gross category overall trophy at the 2024 Equity Naro Golf Open in Namulonge. Kakooza managed a 213 gross shot better than the reigning Uganda Open winner Joseph Regan Akena. Titus Okwong managed third in a fully contested game with 215 gross to come third. The other players that were exceptional on the day were Joseph Cwinya with a 217 , Charles Lwanga on 218 while Joseph Kasozi hit 218 points. The 2024 equity Naro Golf Open had 120 golfers compete for both cash prizes, trophies and prestige. Equity bank sponsored the tournament to attract 175 million shillings, part of which is to construct a halfway permanent shelter for the golfers. The cash prizes for both the amateurs and professionals was a milestone for the tournament in its four years tenure.
