In a bid to ensure inclusivity in the upcoming 2026 General elections, the Electoral Commission launched a new initiative aimed at easing the voting process for persons living with disabilities. The Electoral Commission spokesperson Julius mucunguzi says that the commission is taking steps to address these issues with a new identification and mapping exercise designed to help voters with disabilities. He was speaking to persons living with disability of Nansana Ganda and kyebando who were undergoing the same exercise.
The Joe Walker Remembrance Road Safety Relay Walk is an annual event held to honor those who have lost their lives in road crashes worldwide. Scheduled for November 17, 2024, during Global Road Safety Week, this walk aligns with the United Nations’ target of reducing global road traffic fatalities by 50% by 2030.

Uganda National examinations Board-UNEB has commended all players for the successful completion of Primary Leaving Examinations-PLE that Started this Wednesday the 6th of November. Uganda National examinations Board has described the exercise as successful despite few cases of Malpractice registered.
The Speaker of the East African Legislative Assembly Joseph Ntakirutimana has expressed strong support for Ugandan civil society organizations demanding stricter regulations against industries producing Trans fatty acids across East African Community member states.
