Nineteen years ago, Mbale Heroes were relegated from the National Super League. However, next season, top-flight football returns to the Mbale Municipal Stadium with the return of Mbale Heroes to the Uganda Premier League. The Intergovernmental Authority for Development (IGAD) wants the member states to adopt a strategy for implementing educational programs that promote common goals, aspirations, and instruction within IGAD member states. According to IGAD, quality education and recognition of academic qualifications can be another source of addressing unemployment and conflicts within the 11 member states. The effort includes ongoing assessment exercises of available skills, qualifications, and labor market needs within the member states, despite challenges associated with language barriers. IGAD delegates are meeting in Entebbe to find solutions to some of these challenges. #NTVNews #NTVTonight #NTVWeekendEdition Subscribe to Our Channel For more news visit http://www.ntv.co.ug Follow us on Twitter http://www.twitter.com/ntvuganda Connect with us on Messenger via m.me/NTVUganda

A group of students from Makerere University and Kyambogo University have marched to Parliament to petition the House over the East African Crude Oil Pipeline Project. The students say the project will cause devastating environmental challenges to residents who live near the oil drilling areas. The pipeline will transport oil produced from Uganda’s Lake Albert oilfields to the port of Tanga in Tanzania, where the oil will then be sold to world markets. In November last year, the East African Court of Justice dismissed, with costs, a case in which environmental and human rights groups were challenging the construction of the pipeline. #NTVNews #NTVTonight #NTVWeekendEdition Subscribe to Our Channel For more news visit http://www.ntv.co.ug Follow us on Twitter http://www.twitter.com/ntvuganda Connect with us on Messenger via m.me/NTVUganda
