As schools open for the second term, government has been asked to reconsider taxes on private schools as this is a big challenge to most of them. Bishop Musoke Patrick of National Fellowship of Born Again Churches says the taxes ,include property tax, ground rent paid to local councils , they say such are likely to raise the fees.

Over 150 homes are at risk of being washed up by landslides as heavy rains continue to pound various parts of the Elgon region in Manafwa district. The most affected residents are in the areas of Bumakari and Bunagoma, who revealed that the area had earlier developed cracks, which provided an early warning on a possible threat of landslides occurring. Ibanda district Woman MP Jane Bainomugisha has boosted health care capacity in her district after securing two ultrasound machines. These machines have been allocated to Kanywambogo Health Center Three in Kicuzi subcounty and Isongororo Health Centre Four in Ibanda North. These health centers have been operating without ultrasound machines for nearly seven years. Expectant mothers there have had to seek maternity services far away from their homes affecting their health and those of their unborn babies. Total Energies Uganda has commemorated its Youth Inclusion and Education program supporting over 15,000 youth beneficiaries at different levels of engagement that span from education, skilling and employment. The company is currently the largest oil and gas foreign investor in Uganda overseeing the Tilenga Upstream Petroleum production Project in the Alberene graben, Western Uganda of which it holds 56.7% participating interests.

Government officials from Tanzania and Uganda are urged to undertake realistic and practical measures to facilitate trade and investment in both countries for sustained growth and development. The state minister for Works Musa Ecweru has apologized on behalf of ministry of works and Transport for the shoddy works done on the section of Moroto Soroti high way which has seen the stretch between Nadunget junctions to Moroto town breaking in a short time. Ecweru pledged ministerial commitment to repair the broken-down section soon. The one hundred ninety-seven kilometers road from Soroti to Moroto was commissioned in November 2020 by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
