Police at Apac Central Police Station are holding a volunteer health worker attached to Apac Hospital in Apac Municipality, who is accused of stealing medical supplies. The female nurse, whose name is withheld, was arrested on Saturday following a tip-off from a concerned citizen. Apac Deputy RDC, Joan Apio, responded after receiving a tip that some medical supplies were being smuggled out of the hospital and intercepted the boda-boda rider who was reportedly hired to transport the stolen medical supplies out of the hospital. Life of a 35-year old man in Uganda is usually a stage of establishing oneself and starting up a family. But for Tommy Dyabe this was not the case as he suffered a road accident that nearly ended his life in 2015. Nine years on, Dyabe is clamped down in a wheelchair chocking on both physical and emotional pain in addition to exorbitant medical expenses yet without any meaningful source of income. Worse still is that Dyabe is yet to get justice from those who caused this predicament upon him despite efforts to seek redress in the courts of law.

Failure to understand the use of technology is one of the hindrances and the leading complaint by consumers for their data and faster internet consumption. However, according to telecom operators and communications regulators, consumers must understand and monitor the Apps that take their data to avoid fast depletion. As a way of sensitizing consumers and avoiding further complaints, the Communications regulator organizes meetings to create an understanding between consumers and internet service providers. Today, the Uganda Communications Commission organized a consumer town hall meeting in Kampala to address consumer concerns. Police in Kampala Metropolitan are investigating an attempted murder in Mirimu zone, Namasuba where an identified man hacked four children there. Mitooma Police and Bishop Stuart University have qualified for the final playoffs of the Women's Western Volleyball League. Mitoma Police advanced after Mbarara University of Science and Technology was suspected of fielding an illegal player, granting Mitooma qualification to the finals. In another match, BSU's volleyball team defeated Mbarara Youth Volleyball Club at Rugazi Volleyball Club in Mbarara City on Sunday.
