The government has constructed a multi-billion shilling warehouse in Tororo town to fill the shortage of storage space in the country. Touring the facility state minister for investment Evelyn Anite says the investment will go a long way in ensuring good storage which has been a challenge. The African Management Institute, in partnership with the Private Sector Foundation of Uganda (PSFU), has successfully concluded a training project, in which 127 Business Development Standard Service providers were equipped with skills on how to grow businesses. The graduates received support on standards, along with tools, mentorship, and resources essential for fostering sustainable business growth. However, there are people so critical to the process of planes landing and taking that you may never meet. Diana Aceng is an Aeronautical Information officer who facilitates any plane flying into, out of, and within Uganda’s air space. Police has put on sale one of its newly acquired rescue and operation aircraft after it has failed to perform up to its expectations. A fixed-wing aircraft P180 PIAGGIO AVANTI 11 EVO was acquired in June 2019 at USD 7.840.000, According to police, the aircraft did not achieve any of its intended outcome, Police says since its acquisition, it has only covered a total flying distance of 117 kms, as it is not designed for non-tarmacked runways. The aircraft's servicing and running costs are expensive. Justice and Constitution Affairs Minister Norbert Mao says his ministry is preparing to present a set of regulations to parliament to guide the implementation of the Public Order Management Act. He explains that the absence of regulations has led to the police misinterpreting the law, resulting in their use of excessive force against peaceful demonstrators.
