The Indian Association has announced the dispatch of the third batch of heart surgery patients to Namar Health Hospital in Chennai, India. Within three months, 11 patients have been provided with this life-saving opportunity. The first two batches were generously supported by the Indian Association in collaboration with Uganda Airlines,. Expanding their outreach, the Indian Association has forged a partnership with the Rotary Club of Kampala, Ssese Island. This collaboration allows for the simultaneous transfer of five patients, significantly increasing the number of beneficiaries. Notably, among this batch is a patient requiring oxygen support, accompanied by Dr. Jahfar to ensure immediate medical attention needed during the journey.

Kampala Metropolitan Police has recovered motor vehicle UG OO53N belonging to the Ministry of ICT that was stolen at the climax of the Non- Aligned Movement summit NAM that was held in January this year. Police has apprehended Mathias Musiime a driver attached to the Ministry of Health as the prime suspect regarding this car robbery, confirms Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police spokesperson Luke Owoyesigire.

The Uganda National Examinations Body has released sample papers for this year's Uganda Certificate of Education Exams, which will be based on the new lower secondary school competence-based curriculum. Alongside the sample examination papers, the exams body has also released sample marking guides meant to offer both teachers and learners insight into how the papers will be assessed. Stanbic Holdings shareholders will take home over 280 billion shillings in dividend payout. The Ministry of Public Service says the Central Government needs to allocate over 70 billion shillings to compensate over 2,000 people likely to lose their jobs after the rationalization of government agencies is complete. The police have cautioned the public against unscrupulous individuals pretending to have connections in hiring probationary police constables.
