They seek financial support of 35 million shillings to enable doctors at the Mulago Heart Institute to carry out the surgery.

Responding to the increasing demand for quality healthcare nationwide, Humanity First Uganda, through its Global Health program, organized a three-day medical camp in Budaka District, located in the eastern region of Uganda. The camp provided free medical services to over 1000 patients.
A section of members of Parliament has added their voice to call for the resumption of parliament from a sine-die recess. MPS including Bernerbas Tinkasimire of Buyaga west and Theodre Ssekikuubo of Lwemiyaga County claim that the image of Parliament is being tainted while on break. This follows ongoing allegations by the opposition wing that Parliament has been hit by corruption scandals involving top leadership and members of Parliament accordingly. This week, the Director Communications and public Affairs Chris Obore described the allegations as a smear campaign to tarnish the image of the Parliament. Obore reiterated that Parliament cannot be run on rumors.

State Minister for Lands Dr. Sam Mayanja has ordered the return of Muslims to their Kabulisitani land which is known as Jinja Muslim cemetery acquired in Jinja town. The 10-acre land has been in dispute with Muslims in Jinja town as well as the Jinja Regional Refferal Hospital for some time.
In another development still in NRM the party deputy secretary general Rose Namayanja on behalf of the party has witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the NRM and the incoming LCV Abim District Ariko John De- West who was the second runner-up and independent but NRM leaning in the 2021 general elections This development comes in after weeks of nullification of the former LC V Chairperson Abim district by the Supreme Court on technical grounds thus giving a direct pass to Ariko

Cases of measles infection in Hoima District have shot up to 420 in Hoima District. According to Nazareth Kabagenyi, the acting Hoima District Health Officer, a measles outbreak was reported at Runga Landing site in Kiganja Sub-County on January 19, 2024. Five serum specimens were collected from five patients suspected of measles infection on February 16, 2024 and taken to the government laboratory in Entebbe. OC CID Nakunda Stella of Namutumba police station has been dragged to Courts of law by two court process savers working with Iganga High Court. The case filed at Iganga magistrates Court, OC CID Nakunda Stella is accused of violating and infringing on the rights of the two, when she detained them the whole day, after reporting a case against Logose Sulaina who had insulted them upon effecting court service to her.
