Uganda Technical College Kichwamba officials have urged the government to seriously consider investing more to improve learning standards there. The college principal Milton Mumbogwe Kakuba wants a student capitation grant from each student, 1,800 shillings to at least 3,000 shillings to carry out meaningful training. The Bishop of Bunyoro Kitara Diocese Samuel Kahuma Abwooli has bid farewell to Christians of Kikuube District, as he nears retirement from active service. Bishop Kahuma, who is set to retire from Office in August after serving for eight years, was speaking during a service at the Kigaya Archdeaconry at Kihabweemi Church of Uganda in Buhimba Sub-County. Residents of Bushenyi district have been lauded for supplementing government efforts to conserve Kalinzu forest reserve and other ecosystems in the district. Bushenyi district is home to lots of natural resources, ranging from forests, water bodies, hot springs among other ecosystems all of which remain a beacon of conservation thanks to the supportive communities.
Officials from Uganda wild life authority-UWA have found it difficult to explain the delays highlighted in the auditor general’s report of year ended June, 2023, in implementing the project of investing in forest and protected areas for climate smart development where 16.6 billion shillings was not spent. They had appeared before the committee on commissions, statutory authorities and state enterprises- COSASE, where members told them to produce evidence in form of documents to prove they have made some procurement and started spending this money.
Chief Justice, Alphonse Owiny Dollo, has urged the academia to adopt use of artificial intelligence in responding to societal challenges to spur transformation. While officiating the 21ST graduation of Uganda Management Institute, Dollo challenged the academia for lacking proportional solutions in dynamic environment of 4th industrial revolution.
Uganda has launched the Global Programme for Small- scale Agro ecology Producers and Sustainable Food Systems Transformation project. The project, implemented by the Global Forum for Rural Advisory Services- GFRAS, in close collaboration with the International Fund for Agricultural Development-IFAD in Uganda, will aim at addressing key barriers for scaling up agro ecology and the transition to sustainable food systems for small-scale producers, farmers and agri-food Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, under the supervision of the Uganda Forum for Agricultural Advisory Services- UFAAS.

Chris Obore the Director Communications at the Parliament reveals that the service reward has been perceived wrongly with intentions to malice the reputation of Parliament. On Thursday, a letter surfaced through the social Media Platforms that Mathias Mpuuga should step down as a member of the Parliamentary commission after receiving the 500 million shillings reward for his then services as the leader of opposition. However , Mathias Mpuuga has vowed not to step down but rather educate NUP Party members on the operations of Parliament.

Police has confirmed that they are holding a one Milly Naluwenda, in connection with an investigation into the killing of former Ndiga Clan leader Daniel Bbosa. She was picked from Kitunzi zone, in Lubaga Division, last evening. The Atomic Energy Council has engaged with district accounting officers to equip them with skills and remind them of their role in ensuring safety in the field of Nuclear Energy application. The officers from the central region, by the end of the engagement, showed optimism and full support in providing the necessary support required to enhance safety in hospitals and mining fields where radioactive materials are applicable.
