Leading the service, the archbishop of the church of Uganda Dr Grace Kaziimba Mugalu challenged Christians to contribute greatly towards the church’s human resource. The deputy speaker, who carried 20 million shillings from the president, thanked the Anglican Church for their contribution to the education sector, which has been critical to the country's development. The Omuhikirwa of Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom Andrew Byakutaga has urged the government to spare Uganda Coffee Development Authority in the planned merger of state agencies. The authority is set to be returned to the mother Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry, and Fisheries after the merger is completed. However, Byakutaga says the UCDA should be left to operate independently as a way of effectively promoting the coffee sector. A 30-year-old mother of 2 is languishing in Kiruddu Hospital, near Kampala, after falling over a pan of cooking oil while being pursued by City law enforcement officers, sustaining serious injuries.
