Tiktoker Musana Ibrahim, alias Pressure, has been charged with eight counts and later remanded to Luzira government prison. Musana was charged with counts among others, malicious information, hate speech, which are likely to promote hostility against His Magesty the Kabaka of Buganda, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, and Speaker Annet Anita Among.
President Museveni has today received an update on the development of Bukasa Inland Port. The President received the status report during a meeting with a delegation from Gauff Engineering led by Dr. Ulrich Salzer at State House Entebbe. Since its foundation in 1988, Gauff has enabled the improvement of the economic and socio-economic framework through the development, planning and implementation of essential infrastructures on the African continent and worldwide. President Museveni assured government's support to ensure that the project is a success. The Minister for Works and Transport, Gen. Edward Katumba Wamala informed the President that the port at the shores of Lake Victoria shall create a cheaper and faster means of transportation of goods. Emmanuel Winyi Mugamba, the Managing Director of Gauff Consultants Uganda Ltd told the President that the port will have a shipyard, a park for industries, stores, railway and road connections. Mr. Joern Seitz, the Project Director for Bukasa Port, told the President that the first phase of the project is almost done; that it included developing the concept, master plan and constructing a link road from Nambole to Bukasa. He added that the remaining work is surcharging and land reclamation at the Port to make the port fully functional.
In a bid to shape talent and develop leaders in Uganda, Universities in Malaysia are providing opportunities for global education services. Makerere University is set to elect its guild president on 7th march this year. This is now the second year that the university is holding virtual elections after physical elections and campaigns were banned following stubbing to death of a student in last guild campaigns.
A one hundred billion shillings nutrition project has been launched in Karamoja sub region. The five-year Project is aimed at improving nutrition among the poorest and most marginalized, especially women, adolescent girls, and children in the districts of Moroto, Nabilatuk and Nakapiripirit.

Musana, however, pleaded not guilty to all alleged offenses, saying that he was possessed with spirits. Magistrate Ronald Kayizi, sent him to Luzira government prison until 7th March, 2024. Musana Ibrahim committed the said offenses between August, 2023, and February, 2024 in areas of Mukono and Kampala.
Uganda is in a race to boost its access to clean energy by 2030 following its commitments at Dubai Cop 28. The Energy Ministry together with GIZ have put up incentives to reward businesses that deal in renewable energy. National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA), together with Operation Wealth Creation,has engaged all Busoga sub-region leadership from the 11 districts about wetland management. The engagement held in Jinja City was aimed at reminding the leadership about the current directives on wetlands by the president. Communities and local leaders in Otuke district have asked the government to upgrade the area's health facilities to improve the region’s health care services. According to district officials, the region suffers from a high prevalence of malaria with health centers recording over 9,000 patients, and yet the current health centers are not able to provide the much-needed health care. This has seen some of the leaders mobilizing resources to construct private healthcare centers to offer these services alongside government establishments. Residents of Namisindwa district have accused officials of extorting money from them in exchange for public service jobs. According to the residents, officials have been asking them for between 2 to 20 million shillings, depending on the availability of jobs. The matter came to light during a public dialogue, known as Baraza, at Nambako Sub-county in Namisindwa district.
