The season's National Rally Championship commenced on Saturday with 39 drivers participating on day one in the Mbarara City Rally. Jas Mangat, who returns after a break last season, picked up from where he left off as he finished with the fastest time ahead of Ronald Ssebuguzi and Posiano Lwakataka, respectively. JT Jaguars came from three quarters down to beat KCCA Panthers 58-56 in a league fixture played today at the YMCA Court in Wandegeya. The Jaguars, who were trailing by nine points at the end of the second quarter, completed their comeback in the final quarter to secure their third win of the season. Cattle keepers in Nakaseke district have set up a community task force to curb the further spread of the Foot and Mouth Disease in the district. The Deputy Commander of the Special Forces Command (SFC), Brig Gen. Charity Bainababo has commended the SFC primary schools for their stellar performance in last year's Primary Leaving Examinations. The minister of state for sports peter ogwang and kcca ed dorothy kisaka last evening commissioned the second phase of the kcca fc new stadium construction works on the phillip omondi stadium in lugogo. The construction works on the staduim commenced in late 2021 and the first phase was completed in 2023. The biggest part of the work on the development of this stadium will be done in this phase as expressed by the kcca fc eng andrew mukibii

EDUCATION FORUM: PUTTING PLE PERFORMANCE INTO PERSPECTIVE
Eight national badminton players were, Friday morning, flagged-off to Egypt where they will take part in the Thomas and Uber Cup, from the 12-18 Feb, 2024. This competition will be used by the players to accumulate points for Olympics qualification.
As they continue preparations for their maiden T20 World Cup appearance later this year, the Cricket Cranes team has, yet again, flown out of the country to Sri Lanka for another training tour, to test and horn their skills against seasoned players. This trip comes just 11 days after their India training tour.
