The distribution of iron sheets has officially commenced in the Karamoja sub-region, with Abim being the first district to benefit. This community empowerment program is in line with a presidential directive aimed at enhancing livelihoods, particularly for the reformed warriors in the Karamoja sub-region.

The UPDF Fisheries Protection Unit has seized and incinerated undersized nets along with two tonnes of immature fish. The immature Nile Perch was confiscated from Kalangala Landing Site in Bukulula sub-county, Kalungu District. Joseph Kasumba, the fisheries officer for Kalungu District, explains that the impounded fish did not meet the required size. The government of Japan has donated and constructed an in-patient ward hospital worth UGX 300 million in Apeitolim sub-county, Napak District, aiming to address the gap in access to healthcare. The American Tower Corporation-Uganda has made a significant contribution to education by donating 20 computers to Ihandiro Vocational Secondary School, a government-aided institution located in the rural areas of Bukonzo County West in Kasese district.
Ministry of education and sports has commenced the selection exercise for senior one. Some of the traditional schools have reduced their cutoff points whereas for many others it has remained constant. This is being attributed to the performance of PLE candidates for 2023 being comparably the same as that of 2022. Officiating at the opening of the exercise at UMA main hall on behalf of the permanent secretary ministry of education and sports Ketty Lamaro, the commissioner basic and secondary education Ismael Mulindwa urged head teachers to conduct the exercise objectively and fairly to command integrity and deal with the negative perception of the public about the exercise.

There will be no more approvals for new fuel stations seeking to operate in the immediate vicinity of new cities, according to the Uganda National Bureau of Standards. UNBS asserts that, after the expiry of the five-year license for affected operators, there will be no renewal.
