State house investors’ protection unit has registered 186 investors’ complaint from both local and international investor. While engaging with government communicators and public relations officers, Col. Edith Nakalema the head of the unit said most of these concerns are fraudulent and land related matter.

The Uganda Bureau of Statistics has reported a slight increase in consumer prices for the month of January, touching 0.0%, up from 0.1% registered in December 2023. This minor uptick in prices was observed in various consumer goods and services, including housing, water, and electricity, among others. The Deputy Director of KCCA, Engineer David Luyimbazi, states that the queries raised by the African Development Bank regarding the implementation of the Kampala Road Rehabilitation Project have been addressed. The queries ranged from the project lacking an environmental specialist, the government's failure to commit the 41 billion shillings for the compensation of landlords in areas where road works will be tarmacked, to the high amount of money the contractors would charge to pave a kilometer of the road. Nsambya Babies Home is searching for families of at least 15 children abandoned in different parts of the city and currently under their care. According to the administrator of the Child Welfare and Adoption Society, Sister Maria Teddy Nakyanzi, a significant proportion of the children at the home have been abandoned. Children are brought to this home strictly by police and probation officers.
