The Nakawa Chief Magistrates Court has issued an arrest warrant for Molly Katanga, wife of the late businessman Henry Katanga, in connection to his murder on November 2nd of last year. Currently hospitalized, Molly Katanga faces accusations of orchestrating the crime along with two of her daughters and two others, who are implicated in destroying evidence. In a separate case, Minister Mary Gorreti Kitutu Kimono is seeking an injunction against the Inspector General of Government Beti Kamya over alleged mismanagement of public funds. The police in Kampala are facing scrutiny following a series of crime incidents, with eight of its officers implicated in aggravated robbery cases. Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga revealed that four officers from the Kabalagala Police Division are facing dismissal and legal action. Additionally, four officers are linked to a major robbery at the residence of Barbara Nekesa, the NRM treasurer. Christians at the Luwero Anglican Diocese are contesting the nomination of two candidates by the Luwero Diocesan Nomination Committee. Last week, the Nomination Committee selected Rev. Amariatek Foundation and Junior Achievement Uganda conducted 8 boot camps, where over 1,600 young, innovative Ugandans took part. Team Bedmot, with its idea of plastic pavers and bricks crucial to environmental conservation, won the overall competition. Their solution changes how bricks are made and used, moving away from the old system of brick burning that damages the environment.
